Where to start

Your automate-first backlog

    How to start

Begin with one task, the one at the top that quietly eats the most time. There is no need to take them all on at once.

Describe it the way you would explain it to a new starter: what goes in, what comes out, and the rules in between. That description is most of the work.

Build a rough first version, live with it for a fortnight, fix what annoys you, then move to the next. Trying to automate everything at once tends to leave you trusting none of it.
